Millbury Sun Room Patio

This cozy ranch was hiding something from the outside, but in the back, it was clear that something did not belong. It was hiding a 3-season porch built many years ago, which never really worked with the design of the home or roof. It was built on a flat patio that was taking on water: big time. It was time to remove the porch, break through some walls, and design and build a new living space! A new foundation was installed to prevent further water damage and provided needed support for the new room. A gorgeous tile floor was added, carrying the design into the kitchen. Radiant heating, air conditioning, and a well-designed lighting plan were installed to make the area climate-controlled while being eco-friendly. Large sliding glass doors, new windows, and a vaulted ceiling gives the space a very open, airy feeling. A hand built chimney with a wood burning stove that added that extra special touch, while the wall mounted flat screen TV with a custom wood countertop with bar-style seating installed to marry the two spaces together now makes the room multi-purpose.

Outside, we matched the beautiful shake-style siding and added a custom-designed patio for entertaining, with a composite landing and stairs to the new room. A metal roof was added to the entire house to enhance the look and life of the home They love it!
